Designed by Kazuhide Takahama in 1973, Saori is a wall and ceiling lamp that represents one of the earliest examples of lighting as an architectural element. A white painted metal structure supports a fabric diffuser.
“Kazuki belongs to a grouping that takes inspiration from traditional Eastern lamps, replacing rice-paper with fabric to get a unique way of spreading light. This is how Saori Q, Kazuki and Kaori were born: lamps that took the names of members of our family, in no specific temporal order”.
